Most of modern architecture use a natural material and dominated with natural lighting to reduce the cost of lighting, This is an awesome project of Potts Point House, the builder is Plode Constructions with the help of Neilly Davis & Associates as hydraulic engineer. The design is driven by the need for light and air in a dark terrace house with clients that were budget conscious, The removal of the rear wall of the terrace and a raising of the courtyard level allowed maximum light and air with a connection to an outdoor living space. A simple palette of timber and white reinforced the apparent increase in space with MCK’ss simplicity.
In order to maximize the lighting, the house is designed in opened space near the kitchen and dining room, the interior also painted in white wall and ceiling. To keep the nature, the floor is designed with wooden flooring ideas. I love so much to the lighting system design, there are two pendant lamp that installed on above the dining table and the sofa at living room. There are also some recessed lamps that installed on kitchen, take a look at the bathroom, it decorated with black color and completed with contrast color for closet and water sink, in order to maximize the bathroom lights, the bathroom is designed in opened on the ceiling, so the daylight can entering well into the bathroom. mckarchitects
