Bedroom designs are still the popular topic in home design sites and magazines, all the trend in home design such as colors, themes, furniture and decoration can easily found in bedroom designs. Every years bedroom design trends always changing, but several bedroom still use the same theme. Bedroom design for teenage girls usually has a special theme. Now, I will share you several bedroom designs for your teenage girl. Whenever you think of a little girl’s bedroom, your mind may gravitate towards lots of pink, ruffles, lace, and a very soft look. But these days, little girls are not always into such “feminine” designs.
Today, girls may be more interested in sports, science, and pop stars than they used to be, and they will often express this in the layout of their bedrooms. For girl bedroom designs, choose curtains and furniture with her, emphasizing the need for colors to match. Perhaps she wants a certain theme or there is a particular color that she likes. Obviously you may be limited by budgetary constraints, and that has to be taken into account. But unless she chooses something totally ridiculous, you should let her feel that most of the decisions are made by her as this is her room, after all.
When our little girls are babies, and especially if they are born after several boys, there is nothing more pleasurable than buying a pink cot, with pink sheets, color-coordinated curtains (usually pink, peach, white, or rose), and soft-looking white furniture. But as our daughters grow older, they will want more of a say in how their bedrooms look, and this is when they will start to deviate from the stereotypical look of the “girls’ room.”
So when your princess starts to hit adolescence, don’t be surprised if she rebels and Victoria Plum becomes a thing of the past. This should be seen as a unique opportunity to teach your daughter about good taste and how to make her room look good. (And obviously, the first lesson she should learn is that no matter what the furnishings look like, her room will only look good if it stays neat!).
If you have more than one girl sleeping in the room, then both daughters should feel part of the process and you may find that you have to arbitrate between both of them before they settle on a look that is agreeable to both of them.
Necessities for a girls’ room are:
- A cupboard for each girl
- A desk
- A chest of drawers
- A set of shelves
- A rug
Make sure that the colors of the furnishings are coordinated, rather than clashing. The room should also have a relaxing feel to it.
The finishing touch to any girl’s bedroom designs has to be a soft rug. Girls’ area rugs come in a variety of designs. If your daughter has a penchant for butterflies or flowers, these are easily found. If, on the other hand, she is more interested in animals buy print rugs, these can also add to the design of her bedroom. Just make sure that the rugs are stuck down especially if there is wood flooring or tile flooring.
